IN THIS LESSON

Discussion:

  1. Ask if they can hear a brief request, acknowledging their justification for resistance i.e. “I know you feel overloaded by my requests…”

  2. Keep your request brief and calm, mentally prepared for rejection.

  3. Offer a middle ground compromise. Gently inquire about their “no.” Offer two times for follow up, insisting on one being chosen.
